Era un duro lavoro ma qualcuno doveva pur farlo

Non comparivano mai nei film (tranne in qualche raro making of) lavorando solo nei backstage e sono ormai quasi totalmente scomparse rimpiazzate da pillole blu e derivati, ma senza di loro il porno probabilmente non sarebbe stato quello che conosciamo oggi.

Professione nata negli anni ’70 a causa dei lunghi tempi necessari per girare una scena con cineprese 16m/35m, le fluffers si diffusero come stimolante e supporto per gli attori nelle pause tra le riprese. Il ruolo delle fluffers nel cinema porno e’ argomento decisamente controverso, tra mito e realta’ le fluffers venivano sicuramente ingaggiate nelle produzioni della Golden Age del porno ma vennero progressivamente abbandonate a causa dei budget sempre piu’ ridotti del porno moderno.

I radicali tagli alle spese con la conseguente massiccia produzione di film porno all sex o con trame appena accennate hanno portato le fluffers davanti alle telecamere come attrici, in un’ottica di risparmio totale e di eliminazione di qualunque spesa percepita come superflua ai fini del prodotto finale.

Risulta molto difficile trovare testimonianze dell’utilizzo delle fluffers anche a causa delle reticenze “virili” di molti degli attori coinvolti nelle produzioni porno. Pochissimi attori porno sono disposti ad ammettere l’utilizzo di supporti alle loro prestazioni, siano essi fluffer, stunt cock o quei medicinali cosi’ diffusi attualmente nei set porno.

Questo alone mitico che ricopre le fluffer (e in parte anche i fluffer, su cui purtoppo c’e’ ben poco materiale in rete) ispiro’ alcuni film mainstream sull’argomento. Dalla parodia del filmato prodotto dalla MPAA (l’equivalente della SIAE italiana) e intitolato “Stuntmen Make Movies” diventato per l’occasione il divertente “Fluffers Make Movies” (vedi il trailer) a “The Fluffer” con la partecipazione di Deborah Harry, cantante dei Blondie e con numerosi cameo di star del porno USA (vedi i trailer e leggi l’opinione del porno attore Will Clark sul film) incentrato sul mondo della pornografia gay. La figura del fluffer, in chiave ironica, e’ presente anche in “Jay and Silent Bob strike back” in cui Jay, dopo un’iniziale entusiasmo per essere stato ingaggiato in un film porno, scopre di essere stato assegnato al ruolo di fluffer del protagonista (vedi i trailer). Al ruolo delle fluffer e’ ispirato anche il gioco di carte Fluffer! e una pubblicita’ di un noto energy drink (anche se credo che quest’ultima possa essere un fake).
